#8: SYSTRAL/ACHEBORN - “a split seven inch” for early 1997 this is a really dense and powerful recording. SYSTRAL plays this deathmetal-style hardcore with a grunting voice and lots of double-bass. the second song has some kind of a sludge-vibe that you can’t stop nodding your head to. somehow i thought they had a more rockier style. that probably came later. but a damn great band. the ACHEBORN-songs are much more chaotic - they sound a little bit like KISS IT GOODBYE, but with this typical german touch. if you aren’t into this kind of music you’ll get nervous after the first song. though these two bands weren’t as important for me as other german bands (such as LEBENSREFORM, ACME, LOXIRAN or ACLYS) they are really awesome. i can’t remember, if i’ve got other releases of them. but i’ll take a look.
